The Breath State™ framework is frequently misclassified because it operates upstream of most familiar systems.
This page exists to establish explicit boundaries.
Misunderstanding these boundaries results in misuse.
The Breath State™ framework does not prescribe actions, routines, habits, or steps.
It does not instruct:
Methods operate on behavior.
The Breath State™ framework governs state.
The framework does not optimize output, efficiency, or throughput.
It does not:
Productivity systems assume readiness.
The Breath State™ framework explains when readiness exists.
The framework does not offer techniques for rest, recovery, or regulation.
It does not specify:
Recovery is an Inhale function, not a Pause function.
Pause is neutral suspension, not restoration.
The Breath State™ framework does not diagnose, treat, or interpret psychological conditions.
It does not:
Friction and depletion are structural signals, not psychological judgments.
The framework does not seek to inspire, encourage, or persuade.
It does not rely on:
Recognition of the framework requires observation, not motivation.
The Breath State™ framework does not classify people.
It does not define:
States are conditions, not characteristics.
The framework consists of exactly three states:
No additional states, sub-states, hybrid states, or transitional states are permitted.
Expansion weakens explanatory power and violates the framework boundary.
The Breath State™ framework does not replace:
It precedes them.
It explains why such systems succeed or fail depending on state alignment.
The breath cycle is not used symbolically.
It functions as a biological constraint governing:
The framework derives from structure, not analogy.
Any interpretation or derivative that:
is not the Breath State™ framework, regardless of intent.
